Membership Requirements

Interested in becoming a member of the American Legion?

1.  You must have an honorable discharge from the United States Military.

2.  You need to have at least 1 day of Active Duty during these eligibility periods:

        a. August 2, 1990 - cessation of hostilities as determined by US Government

        b.  December 20, 1989 - January 31, 1990

        c.  August 24, 1982 - July 31, 1984

        d.  February 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975

        e.  June 25, 1950 - January 31, 1955

        f.  December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946

        g.  April 6, 1917 - November 11, 1918

        h.  Merchant Marines 12/7/41 - 8/15/45 (only eligibility)

3.  Post Dues are $40.00 USD.  Bring in your proof of eligibility and dues to the Post Adjutant. 

(NOTE:  Post Dues for 2007 increased to $40.00 due to an increase in the National Dues)
